NORWALK, Conn. – Every day, seven days a week, NancyOnNorwalk offers you news and information about their city government, their politicians – their essential city services – with detail often not found elsewhere.

NancyOnNorwalk helps you keep current with how your elected and appointed government officials are behaving, how they are performing, and – most important – how they are spending your tax dollars. NancyOnNorwalk looks for answers to questions on everyone’s mind to help you make informed decisions about where and when to make your feelings known on crucial issues, and about who you should choose to lead our city.

Now NancyOnNorwalk needs your help. NancyOnNorwalk is a fulltime job and sole income for two people and a part-time job for a third. While advertising is a small part of the income, NancyOnNorwalk depends mostly on your donations to survive. Rent, utilities, insurance, groceries – it all happens thanks to donations from NoN’s readers.

If every one of our readers donated $1 a month, it would sustain the website for a month. If everyone donated $2, it would allow NoN to pay a freelance reporter to bring readers even more news and information.

But every reader does not donate. Increasingly, we must depend on monthly fundraisers for the bulk of our support. That’s why we are asking you to join us from 7 to 10 p.m. Wednesday, June 25, at the Fat Cat Pie Co., 9-11 Wall St. Food is provided, and there’s a cash bar.
