Common Councilman (R-At Large)

NORWALK, Conn. – After serving on the council for the city of Norwalk for 28 years, I have decided it’s time for me to step aside and let someone else run in my place. In my position, over the many years, through diligence and dedication, it has truly been an honor being able to bring about real change working with so many devoted citizens and elected officials on both sides of the isle.

It has been an interesting journey for me. There have been many highs, several lows, and some very exciting times as well. Many of you know what challenges this city faces in the future and I hope that whoever takes my place is up to the task of moving Norwalk forward. I have learned so much from the experience. Given the opportunity, I will continue to serve the community in the future in other capacities.

Thank you for your kindness and support. It was deeply appreciated and never went unnoticed.

So interesting that The Hour reported Bondi as a life-long Democrat. Not true. He was a Republican up until the late 70’s or early 80’s. He switched because he wanted a place on the then Recreation and Parks Commission (since disbanded)and the Repubs wouldn’t support him. So switching parties is the pattern with him – which ever one promises him something, that’s where he goes… no loyalty.

Moccia was a Repub and then an Independent, and then switched back to the Repubs. I wonder if Moccia would change parties again if he thought there might be a benefit for him in changing.
When he was part of the Independent Party, it was a real force in Norwalk politics and even elected an Independent party mayor.
