Norwalk Public Schools seeks community input on superintendent search

Norwalk, Conn. — The Norwalk Board of Education wants to hear from the community as Norwalk Public Schools searches for its next superintendent.

A survey is now open for families, staff, students, and community members without children in the district to share their views on Norwalk Public Schools and what qualities matter most in an effective superintendent. Responses will help shape the profile of the district’s next leader.

The survey is being run by Hazard, Young, Attea & Associates, a search firm hired to guide the process. The firm says individual responses will stay anonymous and confidential.

Before starting the survey, people are asked to identify their role in the community. They can pick more than one option, including administrator, faculty, student, support staff, parent or guardian of a Norwalk Public Schools student, or community member without a child in the district.

The survey is available in English, Spanish, and Haitian Creole. A drop-down menu at the top of the page allows users to switch languages.

The survey closes in late September. It can be found here.
