To no one’s surprise, Democratic elected officials in the Land of Steady Habits are playing it safe. They’re lining up to support the safe choice for president: Hillary Clinton.

The latest high-profile Connecticut pol to throw his support to the former first lady is no less than Gov. Dannel P. Malloy himself. On Face The State this past Sunday, Malloy told host Dennis House:

“I’ve been an admirer of hers for many years, going back to when she was first lady. I want to see her get elected president. I also think she is the best candidate the Democrats could run. I think she is one of the most experienced candidates that any party has run.”

What a surprise…. A failed governor is showing support to a president elect that will further drown our country.

To be accurate, Malloy is not a failed governor — although many people believe he has failed the state. But he was elected twice, has a national profile and has not been charged with even one felony, let alone convicted of two. THAT’S a failed governor.

Also, Mrs. Clinton is not the president elect. She is not even yet the Democratic Party’s official candidate. You become president elect after you, well, are elected president and before taking office.
