To the Editor:
Have you ever eaten dinosaur?
If not you should come to this year’s Darwin Day Dinner at 6 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 7 at the Norwalk Inn and Conference Center, 99 East Ave., and try some.
Darwin Day is an international celebration of the life and discoveries of Charles Darwin that brings clever people together to express gratitude for the enormous benefits that scientific knowledge, acquired through human curiosity and ingenuity, has contributed to the advancement of humanity.
Do you know why s/he loves you?
If not, come to this year’s Darwin Day Dinner and ask Yale ornithologist Richard O. Prum. Professor Prum will lecture on “Aesthetic Evolution by Mate Choice: Darwin’s Really Dangerous Idea” while you and others may be eating a direct descendent of T-Rex. Then he will answer questions.
Want to know why women are beautiful and what makes a peacock cocky? Come to the dinner and ask Professor Prum.
The dinner and lecture is $65. Before the dinner there is a cocktail hour and a short, fun science quiz.
For tickets please send a check to the CT Darwin Day Committee, 249 Chestnut Hill Road, Norwalk, CT 06851, along with a note with your name, the names of those your are paying for and their selections of: Black Angus rib of Beef (B), Chicken Valdostana (C), Crabmeat Stuffed Sole (S), or Eggplant Rollatini (E).
