“Our liberty depends on the freedom of the press, and that cannot be limited without being lost.”
–Thomas Jefferson
Just as Norwalk played a key role in fighting for our independence 250 years ago, NancyOnNorwalk has played its part in providing our community with an independent free press. As one of the few successful nonprofit local news organizations in the country, we fight hard to deliver you the news you need to stay informed.
You can count on us to be your eyes and ears in your community: at City Council meetings, Board of Ed budget hearings, or just out about town reporting on the news you need. We cover hard-hitting news, like ICE coming to Norwalk, as well as community events like from Juneteenth celebrations to St. Patrick’s Day parade.
We do this because we agree with Thomas Jefferson: freedom of the press is vital to our nation’s success. And it starts at the local level.
For more than a decade, NancyOnNorwalk has been a trusted source for local news. We have some exciting plans for growth, but we can’t do this without your support. Delivering the news in a city of nearly 100,000 residents costs money to produce.
We are looking to raise $10,000 during this mid-year fundraiser, so that we can continue our coverage of Norwalk.
Please think of us as you enjoy the long birthday weekend. Help us fight the good fight by making a donation. Today.
Thank you!
