2024 Election results for Norwalk

The final Norwalk vote tabulations for Tuesday’s elections are listed below.

were compiled by the city’s Registrar of Voters & Elections Administration office and submitted Thursday afternoon to the secretary of state’s office.

The votes from the voting machines in each of the city’s 14 precincts were hand-carried to City Hall Tuesday night after the polls closed at 8 p.m. The vote count began immediately, but the large number of votes cast and the extensive process to assure accuracy, required a day-and-a-half effort to produce the final figures.

Thursday morning, the Democratic Registrar of Voters Stuart Wells, each machine prints out a count of the votes, with the printouts on paper tapes similar to an adding machine’s. Those results are then compiled and checked in the registrar’s office before being keyed into the state’s system.

The election results for the entire state are available at: https://ctemspublic.tgstg.net/#/home .

So predictable that early voting would turn into late counting. Now with no excuse mail in voting we can give Arizona a run for their money as the country’s laughing stock when it comes to voting. And it only cost Norwalk a few hundred thousand extra. Who needs vote totals at 830 pm the way we had them before. This is the genius of our legislature. Let’s try it out on a presidential election, not a local one with 1/4th votes. Pure genius. Helps you understand the incompetence and mediocrity we’ve been conditioned to accept.

To my mind, asking a little patience of the electorate in return for more ways to guarantee voting rights is well worth the trade. An active and engaged electorate is important for a healthy democracy. Besides, this need to know the results the night the polls close strikes me as a lot of social conditioning done by the media to keep our eyeballs on their screens.

Multiple states have had elections conducted almost entirely by mail for years and people don’t seem to be laughing at them. And for the record, Arizona isn’t one of them.

I for one look forward to never waiting in line to vote again, and not having to worry about making time in my busy work schedule to get to City Hall. Early voting was game-changing for those of us who work odd hours and might pick up shifts on short notice, universal access to mail-in voting will have the same effect.

I’m incredibly disappointed in the 142 District. For a Purplish Political Area to have a Working Party-Dem run unopposed is a disgrace. I think there’s no better time to find someone who finally represents West Norwalk. Holy Cow! Maybe we need to stick a copy of our July Electric bill on our refrigerators until November 15, so we remember what the heck is going on in Hartford. OR, what hasn’t been going on. That is shocking to me. I think I’ll have Larry Cafero move in with us…Maybe that will work.
Something needs to be done…As a reminder, we have NO representatives from West Norwalk in State Gov’t, Common Council or Board of Ed….That needs to change.

Just paid my Eversource bills due today. Used to pay 30 days early. No more. My commercial office paid 8x the rate my house did. Another reason why groceries are so expensive. Even ca and ny have some red representation. I guess we just have to be happy being progressive here.

Shame on Rowayton…Tracy is one of the best and hardest working Representatives there is. How could you all NOT give e her a very well deserved and earned vote. She constantly works for you and does an amazing job of representing you all. Like I said Shameful and Thank You Darien!

Initially I couldn’t find my license to show the pollster. She reflexively told me that a credit card with my name on it would suffice. After a short search I found my license that was buried in my wallet and showed it to her.
Knowing that a person with no picture ID could still vote proved to me that we have free and fair elections.
