NORWALK, Conn. — Three of Norwalk’s beaches – Calf Pasture, Bell Island, and Rowayton – received the highest marks for water quality from Save the Sound in its newly released “2025 Long Island Sound Beach Report.”

The study used four categories that measure water quality, based on the frequency and magnitude of pollutants found during dry and wet periods. Norwalk’s scores improved from a low of C (Calf Pasture 2022) to A+ for three beaches in 2024.
Marvin Beach, also in Norwalk, came in with a B+, up from B- last year.
