Dear Readers,
Over the years, NancyOnNorwalk has served our city with vital hyperlocal news that you can’t get anywhere else. Under a soon-to-be hired new managing editor, and with active community support, Nancy Chapman’s legacy of outstanding journalism will continue to shine a light on Norwalk.
The future is bright, but we can’t do this without you.
It’s the time of year when we ask community members like you for your support during our annual NewsMatch campaign, our most important fundraiser of the year. From now until December 31, NewsMatch gives us the opportunity to boost the impact of donations to NancyOnNorwalk. NewsMatch has been a critical source of funding that has helped pay for reporters and editorial staff, technology that is essential to an online news outlet, and everything else needed to operate an effective 501(c)3 non-profit organization.
This year, we’re thrilled that NancyOnNorwalk has been selected to receive an additional $2,500 match from the Tow Foundation, based on our performance in the NewsMatch campaign. Between now and December 31, all donations up to $1,000 will be matched 1:1 by NewsMatch (up to $15,000 total.)
To our existing donors, we’re extremely grateful for your support. If you’re able, consider doubling your donation, or perhaps just chipping in a little extra to make sure we take full advantage of matching funds.
If you are a NancyoNorwalk reader and have been thinking about becoming a donor, this is absolutely the time do it. Your support will get our NewsMatch campaign off to a great start and help keep NancyOnNorwalk a vital source of news and information for our city.
If you believe in independent, hyperlocal journalism, please give today to double the impact of your donation.
Prefer to send a check? Send your contribution to NancyOnNorwalk, Box 525, Norwalk, CT 06852. Every donation, large or small, helps keep our news engine going.
Together, we can continue to build a stronger, more informed community through the power of independent journalism. We look forward to continuing to serve you.
Best regards,
The NancyOnNorwalk Board of Directors
P.S. We are holding a phone-a-thon Monday evening, so you may hear from us directly. Please give generously!
