Halloween in Norwalk fantastic. I dressed up as a real estate developer and my friend went as an apartment building. It was a great time.

That is a riot Skip! I went as a masquerade apartment building trying to lower the carbon footprint in Norwalk!

Norwalk’s first Halloween Nightfare was a huge success and a great time for the thousands that attended!

So glad I went, and I danced for 3 hours with friends and strangers till my feet hurt. It was awesome to see families with little kids and folks from all over Norwalk partying together and just having an old-fashioned good time, and the rave setting with well-known DJ’s and professional concert lighting was a great idea and got everyone in the dancing spirit.

Kudos to everyone who organized it, the volunteers, and everyone who came out and made it the huge success it was. The rain on Sunday was a disappointment for the scheduled concert and costume parade, but Saturday night was truly epic and I’m sure everyone who experienced it will never forget it!

This is what “community” is all about. We love Norwalk!

I dropped my kids off their peak time. I saw about 500 maybe 1000 or so underneath the MTA overpass next to the stage. I saw mostly dead streets surrounding it. It will be interesting to see how the local businesses did with the foot traffic minus their normal traffic. I wonder what the new mall traffic was that night and how many showed in the monsoon on Sunday.

This was only a good idea in a land where money grows on trees. I’ll change my tune when I hear all of the local shops who get better business when the roads aren’t blocked with people attending a “free” event.

It’s worth repeating from the Mayoral debate…..our current mayor stating that this is no place for on the job training. Business 101 experience is clearly missing. I don’t have full data, but I’m told most businesses actually saw less business due to lack of parking, etc…. The Oyster Fest breaks even. We break taxpayers. The $ 75 k didn’t even include highway and safety expense. Fleeced again.
