Letter to the Editor: The Final Appeal Dedicated to the Glory of Election Day at the Ballot Box in Norwalk  CT

Days from the most important vote of our lifetime in Norwalk CT, I hope I have the opportunity to give some insight in the final run to the finish. This year, we have an opportunity to voice our opinions at the ballot box.

If Norwalk residents feel they have been served well under one party rule, and like the growth of this community by percentage to include mostly rentals, engaged by elected officials, leaders and commissioners in partnership by NY developers who came to town to build up a money maker for them on our dime, surely you will be voting for the leadership in power that gave it to you. If you are at all disturbed by the “New Norwalk” and how much it has increased your taxes, dumbed down the quality of your schools, frustrated your commute with infrastructure that doesn’t benefit you, yet concludes you should pay for, then maybe you should pay attention to what I have to say.

Even if you are totally frustrated and feeling your vote doesn’t matter, you’re exactly the person that needs to get to the polls and vote for change. You are passing up your only right to have a voice for change, or forever be silenced by a force that doesn’t give a damn about your opinion but will throw you out of your property if your exorbitant tax bill is not paid when it’s due to fund their vision and continue in the corruption, because you did not stand up for your right to change it by voicing your opposition at the ballot box.

If you like the changes in Norwalk, keep voting for the same, somehow this voice keeps winning. If you don’t, surprise the powers that be and elect a completely different slate of electorate that, who knows may give you the change that you think we need.

It seems the biggest pitch of the Democratic Party these days is campaigning against the President of the United States, Donald Trump and distracting you from the free fall of incompetence going on in your own town’s governance. Think on that fact really hard and equate it to how much control you really think the Administration of the United States has over Norwalk, CT and your day to day life. Does Donald Trump care about how unaffordable rent is in Norwalk, CT? Does Donald Trump care about how high your property taxes are because you have been sold a bill of goods to pay for the NY developers that lined pockets of politicians and made you pay for it? Does Donald Trump have control over ICE even though politicians said he didn’t, but yet the Feds strolled in here anyway and did exactly what the local authorities knew they could, yet said they changed? Yes they did and you and I saw it … and they yapped to you to try to justify that they just sold you a bill of goods that put you and a sign at the corner to say otherwise?

My point is that we need to get real and get back to paying attention to what matters, your local governance without being distracted by what the Federal Government does. You will have a chance to vote against that in 2028; meanwhile do not let that which matters most be encompassed by that distraction.

Change is needed in Norwalk and cannot be correlated by National Politics that are irrelevant and will not make a difference in the part of your life governed by local

authorities. This city needs a leader that will not be one to let the continued power and control of an entity originating outside of this town control town hall and the lives of our residents. That is what this election is about.

We need voters to come out in volume to make their voices heard to vote for change. Change from one-party rule which has not served the interests for the greater good of the residents of Norwalk.

Vote for Vinny for the people and the slate of Republicans who are strongly motivated to hear the voices of the long suppressed residents of Norwalk and give this town a more fluid voice and representation that the residents fund.
