For more than a decade, NancyOnNorwalk (NoN) has been delivering hyperlocal news to our community, with a focus on how your tax dollars are being spent. We dive into the actions of the Common Council, Board of Education, and Planning & Zoning Commission, keeping you up to date — and holding Norwalk’s elected officials accountable.
NoN has survived all these years as a scrappy non profit news site — thanks in large part to your support.
It has been a difficult year. Here at NancyOnNorwalk, we watched our founder and editor/reporter (and “chief bottlewasher” as Nancy liked to say) put up a brave fight against cancer. We lost a friend and the Norwalk community lost a dedicated, talented journalist.
We haven’t lost our passion or our commitment to bringing you the news you deserve. But we can’t do this without your support. We will soon be announcing a new hire, and we are adding freelance talent to our stable of writers. This costs money.
Please take a moment, now, to make a tax-deductible contribution to support our work in the year ahead.
Now is the time to act: Through the final days of 2024 the first $1,000 of every donation by our readers will be matched dollar-for-dollar by grants from the independent NewsMatch program, which supports nonprofit community news organizations.
We also qualify for additional bonuses up to $7,500 if we hit our goal of $75,000.
Help us keep shining that light on Norwalk for you. Please give generously today.
