NORWALK, Conn. — Crowds lined the streets of South Norwalk Saturday afternoon as the Emerald Society hosted the city’s annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade.
The parade stepped off at noon and featured local police and fire departments, marching groups, community organizations, and Irish-themed performances as it made its way through the neighborhood.
Families gathered along the route dressed in green, waving Irish flags and cheering as parade participants passed by. The annual event celebrates Irish heritage in the community and has become a popular early-spring tradition in Norwalk.
