Jack Pavia to Host New NancyOnNorwalk Podcast ‘Community Ties’

Jack Pavia

My name is Jack Pavia. I’m a student at American University and host of the upcoming NancyOnNorwalk podcast, Community Ties. As a passionate advocate for thriving towns and cities, I love nothing more than talking to people who care about their community and seek to lift it up. Using the platform of this podcast, I’m going to do just that, facilitating conversations with people who have vision, drive, and passion, and choose to invest it in Norwalk. By conducting this dialogue, I hope to search for truth and meaning in our city and the people who drive it.

“We look forward to Jack’s contribution to Nancy On Norwalk’s legacy of digging into the stories that affect Norwalkers every day,” notes Board Vice President Justin Matley. “By listening to these conversations every other week, we can all explore in real time what makes this city tick… and hopefully learn something about our city, and each other, along the way.”

Though today’s media landscape provides us with near-universal access to immense amounts of information, too often, the stories we’re made aware of highlight conflict rather than bringing people together through enlightenment. Unfortunately, this creates an unhealthy environment for the community, which only thrives when people of different ideological and cultural backgrounds are able to band together to create positive change. As we confront, not only in our country but within our community, issues of affordability, inequality, and democracy, it’s more important than ever that we have these conversations with our neighbors.

It’s under these conditions that make me incredibly excited to launch Community Ties with NancyOnNorwalk. I look forward to you hearing from a teacher who worked through the challenges of educating our children during the COVID-19 pandemic, advocates who are working to end homelessness in our state, a local business owner who brings vibrancy to our downtown, and a retiring Mayor reflecting on decades of service to our city. Perhaps, through these conversations, we’ll be able to bridge gaps of understanding between one another and collectively work towards something greater.

With significant gratitude to board members Justin Matley and Sean Fox for their work in setting this up, I sincerely hope you’ll give it a listen as the episodes are released every other week, beginning on July 14th, 2025, wherever you get your podcasts.

Jack is super creative and talented, and I can’t wait to hear this podcast! After seeing some of his Instagram reels, I have no doubt he’ll have a lucrative career in broadcasting, if he wants that. He’s also very well informed on current events, so this is going to be a great listen. Thanks for doing this, Jack!
